These put the "U" in Utility

Given all that people use these vehicles to accomplish, the “U” in UTV could stand for many things:
Undeniable terrain attacker
Underappreciated people hauler
Unbelievably easy to drive
Unparalleled usefulness for acreage chores

Over the next few pages, you’ll meet UTVs that have dump beds (we’re told once you go there, you’ll never go without…much like power windows in your truck); can go in excess of 60 mph if needed; operate all day with minimum fuel; have comfort for you and in some cases up to five more friends; can climb rock walls or traverse streams with ease; have enough carrying capacity for your tools, supplies, hunting equipment, and perhaps a deer or two.

Clearly, UTVs have come of age and it doesn’t look like farms and acreages will be returning to sure-footed mule power anytime soon.

XUV835M

The two-seat Bobcat UV34 diesel and UV34XL diesel (seating for six) are designed with an all-new, more rigid chassis for additional comfort and strength, along with a full 11.7 inches of ground clearance. With more material added to the frame, suspension components, wheel hubs and extended-life wheel bearings, the UV34 utility vehicles offer superior durability. Power comes from a proven 23.5 hp diesel engine for up to 35 mph travel speed. Payload capacity is 1250 pounds with a 2500 pound tow rating.

Get your work done in a completely covered, all-weather cab. The Defender XT Cab has a tilt-up windshield and wiper kit, electric opening windows in the doors, a sliding rear window and an integrated heater kit, making it as refined as your pickup truck. Caterpillar’s gas-engine, unique five-seat CUV85 boasts a four-wheel independent suspension system with a front sway bar, a long swing-arm suspension, custom-tuned springs and shocks to balance a smooth ride with hauling loads. Power comes from a 50 hp 3-cylinder motor for a top speed of 45 mph. Choice of two- or four-wheel drive and a high ground clearance lets you match the vehicle to the driving conditions. K9 2400

HONDA
Pioneer 1000 Series
Honda just keeps adding value. Even the base model Pioneer 1000s now include electric power steering, dual clutch automatic transmission with paddle shifters and Drive Modes, and a tilt wheel for operator comfort. The Pioneer 1000 showcases (in Limited Edition) their new I-4WD system that maintains traction in front even if one wheel wants to spin. Power comes from a 999cc twin-cylinder engine and certain Pioneer models also offer hill-start assist, giving even novice riders confidence. The base model has room for two, but other editions add seating options for two more.
